Rhinoplasty surgery

What is it ?

The nose is a visually prominent organ located in the center of the face, which greatly affects the aesthetic appearance. Everyone's appearance, structure and facial features are different. There are as many types of rhinoplasty as there are different noses.

Rhinoplasty involves changing the morphology of the nose for aesthetic improvement. This procedure corrects a bump, deviation, appearance that is too long or a drooping point. Nose surgery can also be functional with the aim of correcting non-aesthetic discomfort such as for example breathing difficulty or snoring problems. This is called a septoplasty. When the patient undergoes this procedure for the first time, it is called primary and secondary rhinoplasty (or revision) when it is the second time.

The objective is to restore the harmony of the nose and rebalance the proportions of the face in order to obtain a natural appearance. The idea is to reshape the bone and cartilage that make up the infrastructure of the nose. The skin covering the nose will have to readjust and recover thanks to its elasticity.

A cast is placed after the operation in the majority of cases. It will be removed by the surgeon between the 6th and 10th day after the operation. A solution for washing the nasal passages is prescribed. The nasal cavity should be rinsed 4 to 6 times a day to remove scabs that form around the scars. The nose remains swollen for a month after the plaster has been removed and the final result is not visible until after a year (duration of scar maturation).

Blepharoplasty surgery - lower and upper eyelids

What is it ?

Over time, our eyelids undergo unwanted changes making the look look more tired or older. Blepharoplasty consists of correcting the signs of aging located in the eyelids while maintaining the expression of the eyes. The goal is to remove the tired look from the eyes. In fact, as the skin ages, it loses its tone, so the eyelids can become drooping or bags under the eyes can appear.

Eyelid surgery can be applied only on the upper eyelid or the lower eyelid according to the need of the person or it can be performed in full upper and lower eyelid. The type of anesthesia will depend on the procedure to be performed. The operation can be performed under local or general anesthesia, with or without hospitalization, depending on the decisions made by the surgeon. This procedure is in the majority of cases performed on an outpatient basis, with entry and exit on the same day unless it is combined with other surgical procedures.

Eyelid surgery is an operation that often has a very distinct rejuvenating effect. A healthy eye area gives the individual a youthful, vibrant and lively appearance.

Bichectomy surgery

What is it ?

Bichectomy involves extracting excess fat from the cheeks. Rather, it is a reduction and not a total extraction. This surgery sculpts the face by hollowing out the cheeks to erase the chubby curves and better define the cheekbones. A more protruding jaw is thus obtained. The procedure is done inside the mouth and leaves no visible scars.

It is a short, light procedure that does not require general anesthesia but only local anesthesia. The procedure takes about 40 minutes. An incision is made on the inside of the cheek, near the upper jaw. The scar on the inside of the cheek is then closed with absorbable stitches which will dissolve after a few days in the saliva.

The goal is to achieve a natural result that integrates with your body type. This surgery is offered to women as well as to men. By this technique, men seek to masculinize their face with a more present jaw. The surgery aims to improve facial features by creating the optical illusion of a slightly more elongated and thinner face, thus improving the aesthetic appearance and harmony of the face.

Face and neck lift surgery

What is it ?

The facelift is an intervention whose goal is to reposition the skin, fatty and muscular tissues which tend to fall with age under the effect of gravity and which form unsightly folds accentuating the effect of aging. To obtain a natural result, you should not pull the tissues but put them back in the position they had a few years before. Today, a cervico-facial lift corrects the damage over time and looks younger. This intervention makes it possible to regain physical and psychological well-being.

The surgeon makes incisions at your temples. They are located as close to the ears so as to be as invisible as possible. A cervico-facial lift is done under general anesthesia and requires overnight hospitalization. Face lifting dramatically improves the appearance of the face. Re-energizing the different anatomical structures (skin, muscles and fat) of the face and neck allows the patient to regain the appearance that was his or her a few years ago.

Otoplasty surgery

What is it ?

Otoplasty, also known as ear shaping, is cosmetic surgery that corrects the shape and size of the outer ear. It focuses on solving problems with the atrium sticking out from both sides of the head. In some cases, the headset appears larger than normal. This is due to birth defects or deformities caused by traumatic injuries.

This cosmetic surgery procedure allows the ears to be repositioned and their remodeling by correcting abnormalities in the cartilage of the auricular pinna. Any adult with an anomaly can undergo the operation. In children, on the other hand, it is advisable to wait until the age of 7 years once the growth of the ear is almost complete. This operation is most often bilateral and then concerns both ears, but can also be unilateral when only one of the ears is affected, inducing an annoying asymmetry.

The procedure can be done under local anesthesia for adults or general for children depending on the patient's tolerance. It lasts about an hour. During the procedure, the ears are reattached by incisions placed behind the ear, in the natural fold. A bandage is then applied around the head to properly support the ears. Otoplasty is a cosmetic operation and has no functional effect on hearing.

Botox and injections

What is it ?

Among all the methods of aesthetic medicine, botox is undoubtedly the best known. Botox has become the most popular aesthetic gesture in the world. This intervention aims to reduce expression lines and above all to fight against the signs of aging on the upper part of the face. The botox will act on the nerves that control the muscles, especially those of the face, which will prevent them from contracting. It aims to tighten the skin and make it smoother.

The injections in the lips redraw the mouth to make it plumper or to erase the signs of aging with a harmonious and natural result. Thanks to lip injections, you can increase the volume of thin lips, correct an asymmetry in the mouth, reduce vertical fine lines around the mouth and moisturize the lips.

It is essential to understand the differences between botox and hyaluronic acid, the two molecules most used in aesthetic medicine. Patients often mix it up. These two products are both used to temporarily remove wrinkles on the face and neck. But they do not have the same function at all. Hyaluronic acid injections or fillers is a complex sugar, which is a natural component of the dermis, binding together the skin proteins (collagens and elastin) responsible for the thickness of the tissues. Hyaluronic acids have several densities to meet aesthetic expectations in surgery. Thus thin lips, sagging cheekbones or marked nasolabial folds and hollow circles are very good indications for these products.
